About Savvy Life Academy
Life has a way of teaching us what truly matters—and often, those lessons don’t come from a textbook. They come from living.
I’m Shirleen Gallerani, MSSW, LADC-I. After more than 30 years working in mental health and substance use counseling, and a lifetime of my own experiences, I’ve come to understand that living well is rarely about one dramatic change. It’s usually built through the choices we make every day—how we care for ourselves, handle stress, nourish our bodies, shape our surroundings, spend our time, and respond when life doesn’t go according to plan.
That understanding is at the heart of Savvy Life Academy.
I created this site to bring together practical information, thoughtful perspectives, and useful ideas for people who want to feel better, live better, and make more intentional choices about their lives. Here, you’ll find conversations about wellness, emotional health, nourishment, everyday routines, healthy aging, relationships, and the many ordinary things that can have an extraordinary effect on how life feels.
I don’t believe living well requires reinventing yourself or chasing every new trend. Sometimes it means learning something new. Sometimes it means changing an old habit. And sometimes it simply means recognizing that something in your life could work better—and deciding to do something about it.
Savvy Life Academy is a place to learn, think, explore, and perhaps discover a few ideas that make a meaningful difference in your own life.
Because a good life doesn’t have to be perfect to be a life you love.
